The web guy has returned from 4 weeks where it never snows. We skied along Mainline, Mill, Whiskey Jack and Otter to the west end of Chinook Lake then along the north side of the lake before returning to the parking area on Rainbow run. As there is very little snow in town one might assume the the trails are not in great shape. But conditions are very good. Today there were no vehicles in the parking area when we got there at 9:30 am. Good snow right from the gate and good track setting from the top of the hill. A cool -18C at the start but -12C by the time we returned. And, bonus, one can actually ski the whole of Rainbow run from the lake without damaging the skis! Only saw 9 other people during the 3 hours we were there.
