Yay our snow dances are starting to work and we go Yay our snow dances are starting to work and we got a bit of snow!!

With this little bit of snow we ask that you PLEASE follow these signs and keep all multi use to the side and not down the middle which is groomed for skate skiing as well as whenever Classic skiers need or want to come out of the track. It can get dangerous for skiers to be skiing on groomed area with deep foot punctures. This privilege is reserved for wild life only.

Moose ✅
Humans not on skis ❌

The groomers have done an amazing job keeping a track with scant amounts of snow the last few weeks so keep doing the snow dances and hopefully we will get some more snow! There are still icy areas especially the first hill up mainline and the hill down to the lake on mainline so use caution. Layer up if you are head out to enjoy the trails this weekend, it sounds like it could be crisp ❄️
Despite some dicey sections our bunnies and jackra Despite some dicey sections our bunnies and jackrabbits were out yesterday in the beautiful sunshine playing games, having snacks in the trees and of course, getting more confident on their ski’s!

Grooming Update! We will not be grooming in temper Grooming Update! We will not be grooming in temperatures below -20C to -25C depending on windchill. Below these temperatures, men and equipment have a hard time, breakdowns are more common and only a few hardy souls use the trails !

At 11:00am this morning the Allison weather station says it’s -35C at the garage. Chances are we will not get out today but we are monitoring weather closely and will be out as soon as we can. We still hope to get trails groomed before Christmas but the weather is not in our control!

Stay warm everyone!!❄️

Just a note that there is a moose carcass with wol Just a note that there is a moose carcass with wolf tracks around it on Deadman Freeway, one of the ungroomed back country trails. It is close to the Mill site at junction 211, just around the corner north of 211. This would be a good area to avoid for a while.

The trails are in great condition for this time of year so I hope you can get out and enjoy!
