After seeing all the snow at the “Darknight” ski we went out to the trails again this afternoon. We skied Mainline, Marten and part of WhiskeyJack before heading down the hill to the lake. We then went along Otter to the west end of the lake before returning along the north side of the lake and Rainbow back to the parking area. Between 40 and 50 kms of snow lying on many of the trails. The earlier exceptionally strong winds brought down over 40 trees which the grooming crew have been clearing. We met 2 guys clearing the Rabbit Trail today. Other trees are succumbing to the weight of snow on them. I dragged 2 trees off Marten and 2 trees off Otter. Β There is still one larger tree across Otter. The grooming crew are busy out there clearing trees and packing the trails. It will take some time before everything is groomed and trackset.
