A reminder to all Allison trail users. Please DO N A reminder to all Allison trail users. Please DO NOT open or close gates on the trail network during the winter season. Yesterday a trail user was skiing on Rainbow with 3 small children one of the kiddos (a 1 year old) was being pulled in a chariot. During their ski the gate at the rainbow trailhead was closed and the chain was wrapped around the post (the gate appeared to be locked). The trail user assumed they were locked in and this made it quite challenging to exit rainbow back to the parking lot with the youngster in the chariot. We are working on locking the gate open. While we assume there was no ill intent in closing the gate we ask our trail users to leave the gates for our trail maintenance team. Thanks Crowsnest Nordic Team.
