Hi everyone,

This Friday, October 31st at 9:00am, we are going to have a work day at Allison and I know this date may not be ideal for a lot of you.

There are several things we want to get done on Friday and we need your help.  I’m hoping we’ll be done by noon or however long you can stay.  Dress for the weather or Halloween, bring work gloves, sturdy footwear and water and snacks for your day.  I’d like to wrap up by noon if possible.

  1. Waxing loaner skis:  We already have people lined up to do this so we’re good to go for this task. (6 People already lined up)
  2. Snow fence on Mainline: (2-4 people) The posts are still in place but the plastic netting needs to be reattached to the posts.  Last year we twisted wire around the posts and netting to hold it in place and we just have to replace some of it.  Two to four people are needed for this and it should only take a couple hours at most.  If we need to pound the odd post back in place we have tools for that.  If this is your thing, make sure to bring sturdy gloves and a pair of wire cutters if you have them.
  3. Erect a barricade along the creek at the entrance to the day area from Mainline:  (2 people) This is to prevent people crossing over the creek once it freezes over.  I’ll have the materials needed for this but it will take two people about two hours to complete.  Bring your drill and/or driver to screw this together.
  4. Brush day area: (3-4 people) Time to do this depends on how many brush saws we have going.  The club has 3 brush saws that we can use.  No special training is needed for this and we have hearing & eye protection for those who need it.
  5. Any extra help we get can help clean up the day area and around the garage.

Please email me at hennigla@gmail.com to let me know if you can make it so I have an idea of how many people to expect.

Thanks for your continued support.
