Donations

While we do get some funding to help with the costs of grooming the trails and maintaining the equipment used for that, we rely on casino funds, grants and other donations to fund capital items such as new grooming equipment and loaner skis for our youth programs.

We are a registered charity and are very grateful for donations. Any donation over $20 will receive a charitable donation receipt if an email address and full name and mailing address is provided. (Having a full name and address is a requirement by Canada Revenue Agency for issuing a receipt.)

Some examples of what donations can provide:

• $20 –  purchases 5 Jackrabbit booklets for our Youth Programs,
• $60 –  pays for 1 hour of trail grooming,
• $80 –  pays for flushing the brake fluid in our sleds,
• $150 – pays for our website and domain fees for a year, 
• $200 – pays for the certification training for a youth coach, excluding travel and accommodation
• $450 – pays for grooming and track setting all our trails after a small snowfall (labour and fuel only)
• $500 – purchases a set of skate skis, boots, and bindings to loan to an aspiring ski racer, 
• $800 – pays for grooming and track setting all our trails after a larger snowfall (includes a pass with a roller)
• $1500 – buys fuel for our trail grooming trucks and sleds for a year
